Firearm Safety Class

Class Dates and Times:
April 5th (Friday) 4-9 pm Please bring a lunch with you!
April 6th (Saturday) 8am-6pm or completion
April 7th (Sunday) 10am -3pm or completion – Range Day (Dodge Center Sportsman Club)
Class Location: Triton High School, Dodge Center MN
Seating is limited to 50 students.
BOOKS WILL BE HANDED OUT ON REGISTRATION NIGHT AND MUST BE COMPLETED BY FRIDAY April 5TH!
Requirements
Certification is available to students 11 years and older.
DNR Firearms Certification is required of anyone born after December 31, 1979 to purchase a hunting license in Minnesota.
General Information
The firearm safety class consists of a minimum of 12 hours of classroom and field experience in the safe handling of firearms and hunter responsibility. The field experience allows students to learn and demonstrate commonly accepted principles of safety in hunting and the handling of firearms. It includes live fire on a rifle range. Upon successful completion of this course, students receive a temporary certificate. This certificate will allow the bearer to purchase a hunting license in Minnesota and other states where certification is required.
