Children ages 3 and up are required in Minnesota to participate in Early Childhood Screening prior to starting Kindergarten. Screening is free of charge and is a simple check of how your child is growing and developing. The screening will help to determine strengths and skills that your child has, as well as catch any developmental concerns early, which would allow for early intervention before he or she begins school. Our goal is to screen children soon after they turn three years old, but all children must be screened before starting Kindergarten.
If your child is between the ages of three to five years old and has not been screened, please register today. You can sign up online by filling out the Early Childhood Screening Registration Form which must be completed to be registered. You will receive a confirmation email shortly after completion. You will receive a confirmation letter and necessary forms via email approximately 2 weeks before the screening date.
